Jail Commanders, Jail Inspectors and other interested parties:
As many of you may be aware, OSSA will be switching from OATS, our current jail standards program to PowerDMS. The Sheriff’s through OSSA is requiring all Jails in Oregon by 2021 to use PowerDMS for all OJS inspections. In an attempt to make the transition smooth as possible, OSSA and OJMA will be offering three training opportunities around the State to help give guidance and information on the new process for jail inspections. To accommodate jail staff across the State, we have three training opportunities schedule this year in various locations to accommodate your staff and travel.
Who should attend: This training is required by all jail inspectors in Oregon and is open to any jail staff who assists or prepares the jail inspection for your facility. You only have to attend one class.
This class is not for becoming a jail inspector in Oregon, the class only teaches the aspects of using PowerDMS for jail inspections in Oregon.
